Lee Williams

Founder

Lee Williams founded Spur’n Up Hope from a deep belief that horses can teach what words often cannot. Her vision shaped the heart of the organization: a place where people can build trust, confidence, and connection through ground-based work with horses. Lee’s leadership continues to guide the mission with compassion, experience, and steady purpose. Her commitment to the horse teachers, participants, and community remains central to the work Spur’n Up Hope does every day.

Jodi DeLazier

Executive Director

Jodi DeLazier leads Spur’n Up Hope with a focus on mission, structure, and sustainable growth. Her personal connection to the program gives her a deep understanding of the impact horses can have on individuals and families. She is committed to strengthening operations, building community partnerships, and expanding access to ground-based equine-assisted learning. Jodi brings both lived experience and strategic leadership to the organization, helping Spur’n Up Hope grow while staying rooted in its purpose.

Chyna Hinnant

Vice President

Chyna Hinnant brings heart, insight, and professional direction to Spur’n Up Hope. Her background in recovery support and her continued education in the counseling field help shape programs that are thoughtful, grounded, and participant-centered. She understands the importance of connection, trust, and emotional safety in the work Spur’n Up Hope does. Through her leadership, barn experience, and commitment to service, Chyna helps support both the mission and the people who come to the farm.

Wilson Abernathy

Wilson Abernathy supports Spur’n Up Hope as a board member with a commitment to service, community, and mission-focused growth. He brings a steady presence and practical perspective to the organization. His support helps Spur’n Up Hope continue building strong programs, responsible operations, and meaningful opportunities for participants to connect with the horse teachers. Wilson’s involvement strengthens the board’s ability to guide the organization with care, consistency, and a focus on sustainable impact.

Her voice adds important insight to the board as Spur’n Up Hope continues growing its programs and community partnerships.
