My name is Clifford. I was born in 1998. I am a Paint Horse. I am very patient and kind. I'm happy to do whatever you ask me to do, as long as you communicate with me. I love to hang out and be brushed. In 2019, I had to have my right eye removed because I had cancer in my eye globe. I've adjusted quite well to this change...
In my younger years, I was a lesson horse and a very reliable trail horse. I came to Dusty Spur Farm in September of 2017. I love being a Horse Teacher with the Spur'n Up Hope program and helping people learn Life Skills. I also love treats!!

My name is Shoogie. I was born in 2011 & I am a minature Palomino horse (not a pony!) I don't like the "P" word (pony)... I love playing with people. I especially enjoy being brushed and getting treats. I will do tricks for treats too!
I was raised in Ohio by an Amish family. I made my way to Dusty Spur Farm in May, 2019 to join the Spur'n Up Hope Horse Teacher family. I am very calm, trusting, patient and kind. I am very willing to do whatever is asked of me, especially if asked by a child.

My name is Slick's Hard Cash. My birthday is March 28, 1998 and I am a registered TN Walking Horse. I can be a little standoffish when we first meet. People haven't always been as kind to me as they are now. I'm learning to trust that no harm will ever come to me again, but I still take a little patience. I become frightened easily but calm down quickly. I love attention and treats...
In my younger years, I was a Show Horse in the TN Walking Horse Association. I was a "Big Lick Horse" or Padded Horse. When I left Shelbyville, TN, I learned to do Field trials and to ride trails, but I more enjoy just looking good in my pasture... I came to Dusty Spur Farm in June, 2016. I am the leader of the herd and am very protective of the other horses, especially my girlfriend Coala...

My name is Coala Valentine. I am a registered Quarter Horse. I was born on June 23, 2006 in Montana. I made my way to Virginia as a rodeo horse, mostly as a Barrel Racer. I've developed arthritis in my right front leg, so I can no longer live the rodeo life.
I came to Dusty Spur Farm in fall of 2020. As the only girl (mare) in the pasture, I feel I must keep the boys in line, so I share herd leader responsibilities with Slick. I am now a teacher with Spur'n Up Hope and I love meeting new people.

My name is Lady. I'm the newest member of the herd. My friend Zodie is welcoming me in this picture. I was born in 2009 and worked as an Amish cart horse most of my life. I was then purchased by a very nice lady in PA who then donated me to Spur'n Up Hope to be a Horse Teacher in May, 2024. I am part Fresian so I have a beautiful stride. I'm working into the herd nicely and I enjoy being a Horse Teacher very much and meeting new people. I also enjoy hanging out in the pasture with the other Horse Teachers.

My name is Odie. I was born in 2010. I am a draft/paint cross. I really have no idea of my size and would sit on your lap if you'd let me. I was adopted from a rescue so I need reassurance. Once I feel safe, I will follow you anywhere. I inspire confidence and balance and have won over many hearts in my Equine Assisted Learning career. I am excited to meet new people when I come to the Dusty Spur Farm in October to teach in the Spur'n Up Hope program...

My name is Jeb. I was born in 2008 and I am an AQHA registered quarter horse. I love people and can be the “class clown” at times. I LOVE to be groomed and I'm jealous when other horses are being groomed. I have a heart of gold. I am the perfect mixture of sweet, naughty, funny, and adorable. Be careful I can quickly become your “heart horse”.
